HOW DO I DETERMINE IF MY TANK IS HIGH RISK?

First, and foremost, ask how old the tank is. Your local building inspector or fire marshal office may have records regarding its installation. If the house is older than 25 years and their are no records on file, chances are the tank was installed when the house was built.

You can have the tank tested. There are a number of methods to test the integrity of the tank and check for leaks. If the tank is older than 20 years, testing isn’t recommended because the tank should be replaced anyway.
